Solar FarmBakers Backhoe has been involved in utility scale solar farm projects since 2005, long before it became what it is today. We started off designing the layout for the trenching, for the cables, and the conduit before it had ever been done, or ever been completed. Our largest solar installation project was 80 MW on 600 acres with 10 miles of trench, 16 inverters and transformer pads. We've worked on over 50 solar farm sites ranging in size from 3 to 20 MW, both fixed and tracker systems, on open land.
Archaeological ExcavationBakers backhoe service has been fortunate to perform archaeological excavation work. It is a true testament to the skills and finesse of the operators that are able to perform this delicate work. We were excavating in Fresno California in old Chinatown where the California high-speed rail will eventually be (as the story goes) there are supposed to be tunnels that connect buildings. While excavating in a parking lot I uncovered the steps in the pictures they eventually lead to a basement that was connected to another and another in these underground tunnels. The artifacts found dated from the late 1800s into the early 1900s. Read the full story here.
